Everyone was doing what they could to protect their homes, but unfortunately, in many cases mother nature was the stronger force. View Photos

Work, Swimming and Homemade Pies

Evan, Jeff, David, Hanna and Kristy went up to the farm for the weekend. Not sure if Jeff, Hanna and Kristy were sure what they were getting into, but the weekend had it all. Working outside in the beautiful sun, hanging by the campfire and swimming in an old quarry. Hanna and Kristy even put the finishing touch on the weekend with two homemade pies, mmm. View Photos

Textile Designs and Print Blocks

Northernmost is striving to become a textile museum in order to house and display these unique pieces of Bohemian culture. The intricate designs and handcrafted blocks are a beautiful pieces of Czech art history.

About the Designs and Blocks: Typically, a town elder (woman) from a village would visit the factory each year and work on a new, incredibly intricate design that women wore in traditional folk fashion. Once drawn the process of carving forms would begin and as many as 50 forms might be used for one pattern. They were multi-colored textiles of extreme beauty which are now printed only by modern means. View Photos
